Christian Ayalew

Christian works with individuals and families to provide thoughtful, long‑term guidance around investing, retirement planning, and wealth management. He focuses on helping clients bring clarity and discipline to financial decisions, particularly during periods of change or uncertainty.

Christian believes effective financial planning starts with understanding what matters most to each client. His approach emphasizes a long‑term perspective, careful portfolio construction, and aligning investment strategies with clients’ goals and values. He is committed to building deep, lasting relationships and serving as a steady, trusted resource over time.

Christian joined Baird in 2026 and brings experience across banking, capital markets, and wealth management. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, an MBA from Hamline University, and a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management, with a focus on asset management and corporate finance. Christian holds FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 licenses and continues his professional development through the CFA® and CFP® programs.

Originally from Dire Dawa, Ethiopia, Christian developed an early interest in economics after seeing firsthand how inflation, unemployment, and economic instability affect families and communities. Those experiences continue to shape his perspective and reinforce his commitment to helping clients build and preserve wealth with intention.

Christian lives in Woodbury, Minnesota with his wife, Elizabeth, and their three daughters. Outside of the office, he enjoys cycling, traveling, and staying engaged with global markets, economic trends, and financial history. He is actively involved with his church and volunteers with local nonprofit organizations.
